Accessing DIT4C on the ResBaz Cloud

This document will guide you through the process of accessing an R/RStudio instance on DIT4C (Data Intensive Tools for the Cloud)

Step 1. Go to https://resbaz.cloud.edu.au/

Step 2. Login to DIT4C

Click on "Login".

Select "AAF" to authenticate your identity.

Select your institution and click "Continue to your organisation".

Log in using your institution username and password.

Step 3. Get access to a compute node

Click on "Compute Nodes".

Click on "Claim Compute Node Access".

Choose one of the following compute nodes from the dropdown, and enter the corresponding access code:

1. r-beginner-01, Access code: 3YX-QFT-44A-764
2. r-beginner-02, Access code: 8CN-44V-P6V-9G8
3. r-beginner-03, Access code: X6M-RQG-97S-B9W

Step 4. Create an RStudio container

Click on "Containers at the top of the page".

Click on "Add Container".

Give the container a name (e.g. "YourName_R").

Select the node you have access to (e.g. r-beginner-01).

Click "Start".

Step 5. Access container

Wait for the container state to change to "On".

Click on the container name.

Click on "RStudio".
